A supply surplus of sulphur is forecast to emerge in 2015 following the market being in a supply deficit since 2010. This is expected to put downward pressure on prices which will lower raw material costs for sulphur-based sulphuric acid producers, while additional smelting capacity is also expected which will increase production of by-product sulphuric acid.
