Louis Springate specialises in Biofuels and Low Carbon Fuel Markets. He co-authors the Argus Biofuels Outlook and Argus Biofuels Analytics, and works across all major global markets, with particular depth in regulatory frameworks such as the Renewable Energy Directive (REDIII), the US Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and Brazil's RenovaBio program (CBIOs). Louis has a strong technical and statistical background, with a keen interest in R, developing machine-led insights and constructing robust, data-driven price forecasting models to support high-stakes commercial decision-making.
Maxence Devillers is an analyst at Argus, having joined the company in 2021. He is an agricultural and agronomy engineer, and graduated from the Engineering school UniLaSalle Beauvais. Originally from Paris region, Maxence comes from an agricultural background near the capital. His dissertation focused on analysis and world wheat trade flow before the Ukrainian disruption.
