Vanessa Viola is the Executive Vice-President, Global Head of LPG/Head of Latin America at Argus. She rejoined Argus in 2011 as our Brazil Country Manager and is now working to expand the company’s business across Latin America. A graduate from Brazil’s Casper Libero University with a BA in social communications, Vanessa has a master’s degree in international journalism from London’s City University.
David Appleton is Vice President for LPG at Argus Media, responsible for Argus’ LPG activities in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that he had a similar role in Asia-Pacific, and was previously editor of various LPG publications including the Argus LPG Outlook, Analytics, and the Statistical Review of Global LPG.
Amalio Hidalgo began his career in the LPG industry in 1995 and has extensive LPG trading and management experience. This includes fruitful years managing key trading desks at Neste Oil, followed by setting up the LPG physical and derivative proprietary trading desk at Morgan Stanley and overseeing the West of Suez LPG Trading at Vitol.
Esther Phua is the Head of Asian LPG, responsible for price assessments and business development of Refrigerated LPG trade, East of Suez, for Argus Asia. Esther, who first joined Argus in 1995, has worked with Argus for over 20 years, created and launched the Argus Far East Index, which is the pricing benchmark for LPG trade in physical and paper markets.
David Galloway, is currently Director of Global LPG at Targa Resources. David Galloway brings experience from previous roles at Geogas Trading, Poten & Partners and ExxonMobil. David Galloway holds a Masters degree from the University of St. Andrews.
