Tim Eestermans has been the Managing Director Europe for the Methanol Institute, since September 2024. At MI, Tim mainly focuses on advocating for methanol to help shape EU and IMO regulations, as far as relevant to fostering the interests of MI’s members. Prior to this, Tim set up his own boutique government affairs advisory firm, MacroScope Strategies (M2S) in 2018. Tim also served as Senior Counsel at the Global Government Affairs team of leading international law firm DLA Piper. Up to 2016, Tim served as a diplomat for the Netherlands in The Hague, Jakarta, and Madrid; as Advisor to the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy in Brussels; and as senior foreign policy advisor to the federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.
Tim obtained an MA in Political Science from Leiden University in the Netherlands and a Diploma in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Bologna and Washington DC.
Eric Pedroso is a seasoned energy executive with over two decades of experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President, Commercial at HIF Global, he plays a pivotal role in advancing the company's mission to produce carbon-neutral eFuels. Prior to his tenure at HIF Global, Eric was the Head of LNG Americas at PetroChina International (America) Inc., where he led LNG trading, origination, and operations across the region. Previously, includes over a decade at Petrobras, where he gained comprehensive experience in Gas, Power and LNG supply chain management, trading, and operations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal Technology University of Paraná (UTF-PR).
Sanne Frías Henriksen is the Head of IMO and EU Public and Regulatory Affairs at A.P. Moller-Maersk. Before joining Maersk, she was the lead for Denmark at IMO GHG negotiations at the Danish Maritime Authority, contributing to the development of the IMO Initial GHG Strategy adopted in 2018. She has also worked on maritime affairs at the Danish Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Earlier in her career, Sanne held several positions at the Danish Ministry of Business, Financial and Industry Affairs, where she worked on post-financial crisis reforms, the EU Banking Union, and financial regulation. She holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.
