He previously served as the managing U.S. ferrous editor at S&P Global Commodity Insights, directing coverage and prices of finished steel and raw materials. He has spent the past 14 years covering and analyzing the global steel market with a focus on North America.

Gaurav Chhibbar is the Chief Operating Officer at Friedman Industries. His 15-year work experience ranges across sourcing, trading and advisory work across Cargill and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He is an Engineer by training and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His current work focuses on driving strategy and operational excellence.

Ron Beck is the Executive Vice President at NLMK USA. Since 2007, he has held a variety of roles across Sales, Marketing, Production Planning, Logistics, and Quality at NLMK USA and previously Duferco Farrell.

Ron began his steel industry career in 1995 at Wheeling-Nisshin, Inc. in Follansbee, WV, where he worked in several commercial positions until 2007. He holds a degree in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Vice President, Steel Technologies

Kyle Scott serves as Vice President at Steel Technologies, bringing more than two decades of experience across commercial, operational, and strategic functions within the organization. Over his 23‑year career, he has held a broad range of commercial roles, including inside sales, regional sales, and national account management, spending 17 years working directly with customers and market partners.

Kyle has spent the past five years in senior leadership, first as Vice President of the Midwest Region and later as Vice President of Purchasing. His responsibilities have spanned commercial strategy, supply chain, procurement, and regional operations, giving him deep insight into the full scope of Steel Technologies’ business.
