Lora is the Editor for Steel at Argus, based in London. She leads the editorial coverage and price assessments for the Argus Global Steel report, with a focus on the Italian and Spanish flat steel markets. Her expertise spans hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and galvanised coil products. Since joining Argus in 2017, Lora has covered a broad range of steel markets, bringing deep industry insight to her current role.
Colin is the steel lead for Argus in London. Since joining in July 2018 he has spearheaded the launch of European and US steel prices, and has grown indexation in the European sector. Colin covers European flat-rolled markets, including the benchmark northwest European HRC index, which is settlement basis for CME and LME futures contracts. He has been writing about steel since 2008 and has a wealth of experience in covering and overseeing IOSCO benchmarks. He was worldsteel journalist of the year in 2020.
Carlo is a Senior Market Reporter on Argus' steel desk, based in London. He covers flat steel markets across Turkey, the Black Sea region and Europe, as well as semi-finished product imports into Italy. Carlo has expanded Argus’ market coverage by working closely with colleagues to launch new price assessments for heavy plate, slab and hot-rolled coil. He joined Argus in 2023.
Amruta is a steel market reporter for Argus based in Mumbai. She covers Indian domestic flat and long steel markets, as well as exports to Europe and beyond. Since joining Argus in 2024, she has broadened Argus’ coverage of India’s ferrous markets and has worked closely with teams in wider Asia and Europe to provide comprehensive commentaries, analyses and breaking news
