James has been with the company since 2004 performing several editorial roles, including editing European electricity and emissions market publications. From 2007-10, he was the editor of the daily Argus Crude report, managing a global team of reporters and developing new crude price assessments.

Prior to his appointment as CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), he held several strategic leadership positions at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

David Appleton is Vice President for LPG at Argus Media, responsible for Argus’ LPG activities in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that he had a similar role in Asia-Pacific and was previously editor of various LPG publications including the Argus LPG Outlook, Analytics, and the Statistical Review of Global LPG.

Abass Ibrahim Tasunti is the Director of Economic Regulation & Planning at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Ghana. He has over 15 years of experience in the petroleum downstream industry. His job role includes ensuring the efficient pricing of petroleum products and promoting fair competition amongst players in the petroleum downstream industry in Ghana.

Funmi, with 18 years of experience in downstream petroleum spanning across trade operations, trade finance, supply and pricing of petroleum products is Argus’ West Africa representative and she is based in Lagos-Nigeria. She joined Argus in June 2020 and is responsible for raising Argus’ profile in the region with a current focus on crude, oil products and gas. She works closely with stakeholders to help them find ways to price commodities transparently and fairly.
